The training took place on the Caltrans turn out 1/2 mile south of Elk.
The training involved rescueing a "volunteer" who had climbed down the cliff but was unable to get back up.
Clark Fish trained as rescuer descending the 200 foot cliff with the orange rescue harness.
Charlie Acker worked the Main Line, Jeff Roy the Belay, Rusty Gates was spotter,
Lori Kaye was Edge Person, Ronnie Karish, Ed Bird, Steve Acker and John Ross were the haul crew.
This type of rescue is very common where the patient is not hurt and is just stranded.
